Your band, your familiar, your own memento mori: if you can describe it, the atelier can probably knit it. Real jacquard on Italian flat-bed machines, 50% wool and 50% acrylic, sizes S to 7XL. Never printed. One of one.
What can be knitted
Jacquard loves bold, graphic motifs: logos, skulls, animals, lettering, borders, full scenes in up to three or four colours per row. It is less fond of photographic gradients and tiny details, and we will tell you honestly when a motif wants to be simplified: a chart that knits clean beats a muddy one every time. Band merch, Christmas sweaters, wedding pieces, a portrait of your cat as a gothic heroine, all fair game.
Every commission is knitted to order in the same Italian atelier as the collection, with the same yarn and the same care instructions. You approve the knitting chart before the machine starts. Nothing is printed, nothing is embroidered on top: the motif is the fabric.
How much does a custom knitted sweater cost?
Most commissions start at 150 euro. Size, the number of colours and how much of the garment the motif covers take it from there, and you get a firm price with our reply, before you pay anything.
Can I order just one?
Yes. A single piece is a normal commission here, and small runs are welcome too: a band, a wedding party, a crew. The chart is drawn once and every piece is knitted in its own size, from S to 7XL.
Can you knit a sweater from my photo, drawing or logo?
Yes, as long as it survives becoming a grid of stitches. Bold shapes, logos, lettering and animals knit well, in up to three or four colours per row; photographic gradients and hairline details do not. We turn your image into a knitting chart and tell you honestly what needs simplifying.
Do I see the design before it is knitted?
Yes. You approve the knitting chart, the stitch-by-stitch file the machine reads, before anything is knitted.
How long does a commission take?
A human replies within 2 working days with feasibility, price and a knitting timeline. Knitting takes 2 to 4 weeks from the deposit, then shipping is tracked and free: EU 2 to 3 working days, UK and US 3 to 6, rest of the world up to 10.
Is the design printed or embroidered?
Neither. It is jacquard: the motif is knitted into the fabric, in 50% wool and 50% acrylic, on flat-bed machines in our Italian atelier. There is nothing to crack, peel or fade.
Do you ship to the US, the UK and the rest of the world?
Yes, tracked and free, worldwide. Outside the EU the parcel may attract import duties or taxes on arrival, collected by the courier; inside the EU there is nothing else to pay.
