Care guide
Heavyweight knit, treated properly, outlives the decade. Here is exactly how.
The short version. Wool cycle at 30 degrees, inside out, in a laundry net. No tumble dryer, ever. Dry flat on a towel, away from radiators and direct sun. Do not wring, do not hang wet: heavy knit plus gravity equals a sweater with a new silhouette you did not ask for.
Why it survives. The motif is not sitting on the fabric, it is the fabric. There is no print to crack in the drum and no transfer to peel at the edges. What you are protecting is the wool itself: the shape, the loft and the colour.
Pilling. Any real wool blend pills a little at the friction points in the first weeks. That is the fibre settling, not a defect. A cheap fabric comb takes thirty seconds and the garment looks new again.
Storage. Fold, never hang. Cedar or lavender in the drawer over summer; moths have excellent taste and will go for the black wool first.
Repairs. Snagged a thread? Do not cut it. Send us a photo at [email protected]: nine times out of ten the loop can be pulled back through and the piece is whole again.
Knitted, never printed
Every motif is jacquard worked into the fabric on flat-bed machines. Nothing to crack, nothing to peel.
